The ECU Distance Education Proctoring Center is a 5,774 square foot building housed within the Office of Academic Outreach, Continuing and Distance Education. This space offers test proctoring services to students enrolled in distance education classes at East Carolina University and other universities within the University of North Carolina system. It was our task to build this space to provide students with a quiet environment with no distractions to enable them to focus on their testing. During the construction, we were challenged with providing an HVAC system robust enough to operate at all times of the day as students were coming and going from the building.
